Movie Review: David Attenborough Nature Documentary

I highly recommend the nature documentary series by David Attenborough, a naturalist who documents rare and breathtaking animal behavior in his programs. Each program consists of a series of episodes, each episode concerning a particular group of animals within the program topic. Each episode does not focus on a particular species, but a variety of species and their most interesting behaviors or adaptations. David Attenborough explains in detail and eloquence about each animal's shown behavior. In his programs, he shows spectacular demonstrations of animal behavior, and where the animals are found can range from Australia to Antarctica. His cameras explore the most exotic of environments, including the deep sea, caves, and subterranean environments.

In addition, the organisms filmed are exotic, or rarely seen. Highly recommended programs include Life of Birds, Life in the Undergrowth, and Life of Mammals, and Blue Planet. All of these except Life in the Undergrowth are available for free on Netflix. The documentary Life in the Undergrowth mentions arthropods and their lifestyles and behavior. It is divided up into the sections about social insects, flying insects( dragonflies, flies, butterflies, and damselflies), millipedes and primitive insects, and spiders. If you want to see a nature documentary about one species in particular, there is David Attenborough's Wildlife Specials, which contains episodes specializing in one animal in particular.
